To Celia/ 23 July

This eight line poem is written in trochaic tetrameter. The persona portrays a romantic love. Irony is seen when the persona states, I will pledge with mine, I would not change for thine.The persona is stating he does not want to change for the sake of live.There is seen in this poem the changing of seasons.
I feel the poem illustrates how a person can become white as snow if they allow Jesus Christ to fill them and become new.
