Arthur Miller in his drama, of a Salesman, introduces us to Willy Loman, the protagonist and to Linda Loman, the confidant. He also introduces us to Happy Loman his son who is portrayed at the antagonist. We also are introduced to Biff Loman, the foil. Willy is a sixty year old salesman who is struggling both physically and emotionally. We see this in the numerous s he has while driving as well as the periods he seems to be out of his head. Willy was once a BIG man or so he perceives himself to be in his business, but now is no longer a BIG MAN. His family, sons are good for nothing bums who have never grown up and his wife is the shelter who takes care of Willy. The setting is their home which was once in an open field, but is now surrounded by apartment homes. The conflict is man/man and man/self. Man/man Willy wanting to be on top of the business and man/self Willy's wondering mind. Stock characters are Charley and Ben, Howard( younger).Willy is a man who is regimented and does not accept change easily. He often is found living or reminiscing in the past. He longs to be free of his proceived failure.
This act shows what many of the people of today go through. When we approach the age of retirement many people view us of know value. Youth and the longing to remain young have indeed taken over our world. Many times I feel children do not grow up is out of free of leaving what is comfortable and seeing what their parents have gone through. This indeed has had an impact upon my life and my brothers. He is still living in the shadow of my father. I know at times I do the same.

Awesome analysis! You are really becoming acquainted with the characters, and I enjoyed your text-to-self connection.
