The persona dramatizes a wedding. A gown of white symbolizes purity. The tone is that of longing to be loved. It is written in romanticism. The meter is iambic pentameter. The ending words rhym . Nature is used to symbolize change.
I enjoyed this poem. It shows me the progression of love between a husband and wife.

It is indeed a pastoral poem. Some felt that the persona was not offering marriage or any sort of commitment. What do you think?
